Job summary

LightEdge Solutions is seeking a Senior Azure Engineer to join the Azure Operations team in Chicago. The role centers on supporting Azure environments, implementing tailored solutions, and documenting plans within maintenance windows to keep customers productive.

You will collaborate with Security, Networking, and Data Protection teams, participate in on‑call rotations, mentor junior engineers, and stay current with Azure offerings and best practices to drive reliable cloud services for clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum a Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.
• 46 years of hands-on Azure development and operations.
• Azure certification(s) required.

Responsibilities

• Support existing Azure environments; monitor health and performance.
• Evaluate customer needs and provide capacity planning recommendations.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to incidents.
• Resolve Azure issues via ticketing system with strong troubleshooting.
• Document interactions clearly in the ticketing system.
• Collaborate with Security, Networking, and OS teams to meet customer needs.
• Provide senior technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers.
• Stay up-to-date on Azure offerings and advise leadership.
