Job summary

GlobalLogic, a Hitachi Group Company, is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to contribute to Azure-based environments. The role focuses on deploying and maintaining cloud resources, with emphasis on Terraform for IaC and networking configurations.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in technical support within enterprise environments and a foundational understanding of Azure services. The position offers remote work or work-from-Charlotte options within the USA, with a base salary range

Qualifications

• 8+ years of foundational professional experience in a technical support environment with cloud focus.
• Demonstrated understanding of deploying and managing Azure Virtual Machines.
• Familiarity with Terraform for infrastructure as code principles.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the deployment and management of cloud infrastructure components within Azure environments.
• Support the team in maintaining virtual machines and ensuring their optimal performance.
• Participate in the configuration and troubleshooting of networking solutions under senior guidance.
• Collaborate with experienced engineers to understand and apply Terraform for infrastructure as code practices.
• Help monitor Azure core services and identify potential issues or areas for improvement.
• Observe and learn best practices for ensuring the security and compliance of cloud resources.
• Contribute under guidance to the automation of routine operational tasks.
• Learn to document operational procedures and system configurations accurately.
• Support incident response activities by gathering information and assisting with resolution efforts.
• Participate in team discussions to understand project requirements and technical solutions.

Note:

GlobalLogic estimates the starting pay range for this role to be performed remotely or from Charlotte, NC within the USA to be $130K to $140K and reflects base salary only and does not include additional performance-linked variable compensation, benefits etc. that may be applicable for the role. This pay range is provided as a good faith estimate and the amount offered may be higher or lower. GlobalLogic takes many factors into consideration in making an offer, including candidate qualifications, work experience, operational needs, travel and onsite requirements, internal peer equity, prevailing wage, responsibilities, and other market and business considerations.

Requirements:

• Possessing 8+ years of foundational professional experience in a technical support, demonstrating a keen interest in cloud infrastructure and operational practices within an enterprise environment.

Required Skills:

• Demonstrated foundational understanding of Azure Virtual Machines, including their deployment, configuration, and basic management within a cloud environment.
• Familiarity with Terraform for infrastructure as code principles, showing a willingness to learn and apply declarative configuration management.
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts and their application in cloud environments, including virtual networks, subnets, and security groups.
• Academic exposure to Azure Core services, indicating a foundational grasp of essential cloud components and their interdependencies.
