Job summary

GlobalLogic seeks a senior delivery leader to own end-to-end engagements in a US-based role. You will manage value-based contracts, govern GenAI-enabled deliverables, and lead multi-disciplinary teams across hybrid onsite/remote environments.

Expect 8–10 years in IT with 3–4 years in project management, plus an advanced degree in IT-related field. Strong English skills and experience with agile methods are essential.

Commercial & Financial Acumen

P&L Responsibility: Manage project Profit & Loss (P&L) according to the defined targets for total revenue, labor, and gross margin, including execution of SLA calculations and management of contractual penalty clauses.

Contractual Protection: Implement zero-leakage change control to prevent scope creep in Fixed-Price models.

Complex Financial Guardrails: Implement Earned Value Management Milestone-based Financial Management to ensure revenue recognition is tied to verifiable outcomes rather than effort.

AI Governance

AI Tool Adoption & Mentorship: Champion the strategic adoption of AI-powered tools across the SDLC. Provide hands-on guidance and structured mentorship to the team to maximize AI-driven productivity and quality gains.

AI Literacy & Non-Deterministic QC: Expert understanding of GenAI capabilities and adoption practices, including hands-on experience with AI-powered tools and prompt engineering best practices. Responsible for governing GenAI-enabled deliverables, including non-deterministic quality control, hallucination detection, and secure prompt asset management.

Planning Under Uncertainty

Quantitative Risk Analysis: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks using probabilistic modeling to manage their financial impact.

Scope & Requirement Decomposition: Guides stakeholders through the implementation of Discovery-Driven / Rolling Wave Planning or similar approaches to address high scope uncertainty, decomposing vague requirements into granular, testable acceptance criteria that serve as legal boundaries.

Remote-Compatible Leadership

Virtual Presence & Digital Influence: Builds trust and transparency with clients through digital body language and high-frequency, data-driven reporting in the absence of a physical onsite presence.

Team Leadership: Manage and motivate project teams, fostering a high-performance distributed culture.

Delivery Execution

Outcome Ownership: Take full end-to-end ownership of project lifecycle and deliverables, ensuring they align with client strategic goals and the "Definition of Done" for output-based contracts.

Process Engineering: Define and tailor project software development processes in compliance with customer requirements and modern Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, Lean).

Complex Dependencies Governance: Manage the project dependencies and orchestrate external vendors and third-party stakeholders within complex governance ecosystems.

Project Inception: Lead the kick-off of new projects and manage the transition from pre-sales to full execution through all project phases.

Stakeholder & Executive Influence

Advisory Role: Act as an advisor to design and implement innovative management processes and support activities outside of current projects (POCs, consultations, and training).

Business Focus: Leverage deep client relationships and run Executive / Quarterly Business Reviews to ensure strategic alignment and seize business expansion opportunities.

Pre-sales Leadership: Drive pre-sales activities, including offer preparation, and responding to RFI, RFP, and RFQ documents.

Strategic Alignment: Translate account, portfolio, and program-level goals into actionable project guidelines and cascade them to the team.

Qualifications & Experience

Total Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years in the IT area.

Management Experience: At least 3-4 years of proven experience in project management positions, specifically managing mid-sized to large projects (30-80 man-months, typically leading teams of 15-25 engineers).

Education: University degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or Business Administration in IT (preferred).

Methodology: Expert knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience establishing tailored project processes.

Language: Advanced level of English (written and spoken).

Success Criteria

To be successful in this role, the candidate must demonstrate a proven track record in at least three of the following criteria:

  • Fixed Price / Outcome-based commercial models.
  • Projects with challenging Penalties/SLA definitions.
  • Delivery projects including GenAI-enabled components or AI-augmented workflows.
  • Management of programs with high scope uncertainty or complex multi-vendor governance.
  • Success in accounts with no onsite delivery presence.
Job responsibilities

The accountable leader with broader authority and visibility across the full engagement lifecycle. At this level, the manager moves beyond standard delivery to own high-stakes engagements characterized by value-based models like Output, Outcome, Fixed Price or Managed Services, these programs generally focus on high value opportunities for our clients and come with scope uncertainty, multiple stakeholders, emerging technology and aggressive SLA structures. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams in a hybrid onsite/remote environment, ensuring that innovative GenAI-driven deliverables meet stringent quality and performance benchmarks.

The role foundation lies on 4 core attributes and 6 key competency areas and domains.

Core Attributes

Accountability: Single point of delivery accountability — scope, quality, risk, and customer relationship across the full lifecycle.

Customer Interface: Primary contact for executive-level stakeholders; owns the delivery narrative and relationship health.

Risk Authority: Authority to elevate, pause scope, and invoke remediation plans without delay; engages with executives directly.

Commercial Awareness: Understands contract structure and penalty exposure; actively manages margin and risk in delivery decisions.

GlobalLogic estimates the starting pay range for this role to be performed in the US is $160,000 to $220,000 and reflects base salary only. This pay range is provided as a good faith estimate and the amount offered may be higher or lower. GlobalLogic takes many factors into consideration in making an offer, including candidate qualifications, work experience, operational needs, travel and onsite requirements, internal peer equity, prevailing wage, responsibilities, and other market and business considerations.
