Job summary

Bankwell is seeking aSenior Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and govern Azure-based infrastructure with Terraform, delivering secure, scalable solutions for a regulated banking environment.

You will champion automation, CI/CD, and disaster recovery, partner with security and data teams, and mentor others while shaping our cloud foundation for AI workloads and data platforms. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, Eng or related field or equivalent.
• 7+ years in systems/cloud/infra engineering with senior-level ownership.
• 4+ years hands-on Azure engineering (networking, identity, monitoring, security).
• 3+ years Terraform experience with modules, state management, PR reviews.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD tooling, automation, and cloud security controls.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate secure, scalable Azure infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain Azure landing zone patterns and governance.
• Support AI, analytics, Snowflake connectivity, and data platform needs.
• Manage Azure, M365, Entra ID, and on‑prem integrations for reliability and security.
• Lead automation, documentation, and change control for IaC changes.
• Mentor team members on Azure, Terraform, and secure cloud operations.
