Job summary

Centreville Bank is seeking a Cloud Engineer to design, implement, secure, and operate cloud and hybrid infrastructure. You will collaborate with Infrastructure Engineering, Security, and IT Operations to ensure scalable, resilient platforms for critical workloads.

The role emphasizes hands-on Azure, IaC (Terraform/Bicep), PowerShell scripting, CI/CD practices, and Microsoft 365 services, with duties spanning security, networking, and backup recovery via Cohesity.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing Azure-based virtual infrastructure and cloud services.
• Strong hands-on experience with networking, including firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless tech.
• Experience administering Cohesity or similar backup solutions.
• Solid understanding of Microsoft identity and directory services in enterprise environments.
• Automation and scripting experience, especially PowerShell.
• 2+ years with Infrastructure as Code and modern DevOps workflows.
• Strong troubleshooting across cloud, server, and network layers.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced IT environment.
• Understanding of Git/GitFlow in SCM platforms and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage Azure-based virtual servers and appliances.
• Administer edge and cloud firewall platforms; configure policies and optimizations.
• Manage network routing, WAN, and site connectivity; Meraki experience preferred.
• Configure and manage switching environments; Cisco IOS experience preferred.
• Administer Active Directory, M365 Entra ID, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Implement security hardening for cloud, Windows, and network devices.
• Manage wireless infrastructure, including access points and security.
• Develop and maintain IaC with Terraform and Bicep for repeatability.
• Create PowerShell scripts to support automation and operations.
• Automate recurring IT tasks and improve reliability.
• Support Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Intune).
• Design and manage Copilot agents to enable AI-enabled workflows.
• Utilize observability tools to identify and remediate performance issues.
• Participate in planning, upgrades, incident response, and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to on-call rotation with Infrastructure Engineering.
• Manage and support Cohesity backup and recovery services.
