Job summary

First Object is seeking a Sr. Azure Engineer (DevOps & DB) / Cloud to lead the design, build, and management of our Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure, with a focus on Windows-based hosting and SQL Server engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in computer science, information technology, or related field or equivalent.
• 6+ years in cloud infra, DevOps and database engineering with production experience.
• Hands-on Azure expertise with VM, networking, storage, and DevOps pipelines.
• Experience securing cloud environments and managing access controls.

Responsibilities

• Design, provision, and manage dedicated Microsoft Azure environments for the Accurate application, including Windows Server VMs, WildFly, SQL Server, and Spark Gateway.
• Build, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines enabling automated build, test, and deployment workflows.
• Own per-customer environment provisioning (Production and lower environments) per the hosting model.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting across Azure environments using Azure Monitor or Application Insights.
• Manage SQL Server setup, TDE, HTTPS enforcement, and Oracle-to-SQL migrations as needed.
• Enforce security best practices: IAM, NSGs, secure communication; automate provisioning and config management.
• Coordinate releases with Product/QA/Dev teams and document runbooks and architecture.
