Job summary

First Citizens seeks a Senior Azure Engineer to lead design, implementation, and governance of our enterprise cloud platform. You will drive scalable, secure Azure solutions, mentor teams, and partner with security, DevOps, and application teams.

The role combines strategic architecture with hands-on engineering across Windows and Linux, CI/CD, IaC, and container orchestration. Remote across multiple US markets with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years in cloud engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience across multiple cloud platforms and enterprise-scale implementations.
• Strong leadership in cloud transformation initiatives and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and evolution of enterprise Azure platforms and security controls.
• Define IaC, CI/CD, automation, and operational excellence practices.
• Provide technical leadership during critical production events and incidents.
• Mentor engineers and document standards for cross-team adoption.
