Job summary

Parsons is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, and operate Microsoft Azure infrastructure in a hybrid enterprise setting with on-premises integration and a classified environment.

You will own landing zones, governance, and security across the program, ensuring alignment with RMF/ATO processes while optimizing costs and performance with IaC tooling. A TS/SCI clearance is required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of IT infrastructure experience, including 4+ years of hands-on cloud engineering.
• Deep expertise in IaaS and core platform services: VMs, virtual networks, storage, security, identity, policy, and RBAC.
• Experience designing and operating hybrid environments, including hybrid identity and connectivity.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure including compute, storage, networking, and platform services in Azure hybrid environments.
• Architect and maintain landing zones, subscription/management group structure, and governance via CSP Policy, RBAC, and security tools.
• Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools; automate operational tasks.
• Plan and execute workload migrations from on-premises to the cloud, including assessment, right-sizing, cutover, and validation.
• Harden cloud systems to DoD STIGs/CIS/DISA SRG; support RMF assessment/ATO activities with artifacts.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting; ensure logs meet NIST SP 800-53 AU requirements.
• Manage cloud cost optimization and performance tuning; develop architecture runbooks and mentor junior engineers.
