Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking an AWS Lead Software Engineer-Java within the Consumer and Community Banking's Proprietary Wallets team to build, enhance, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, scalable way.

As a core technical contributor, you will provide guidance to teams, develop secure production code, drive design decisions, and promote AI-assisted engineering practices across the SDLC to improve quality, speed, and reliability.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts with 5+ years applied experience.
• Experience leading technologists and guiding goals across strategic initiatives.
• Hands-on experience delivering design, development, testing, and stability.
• Advanced knowledge in cloud, AI/ML, mobile, or related disciplines.
• Ability to work independently with little oversight.
• Proficiency in Java/J2EE and REST APIs, Web Services.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance to the business and its teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Develop secure production code, review and debug code written by others.
• Drive design decisions and influence product functionality and operations.
