Job summary

JPMorgan Chase in Wilmington, DE seeks an AWS Lead Software Engineer-Java to join the Proprietary Wallets team. You will lead technical delivery, guide teams, and contribute to secure, scalable architectures across AI-enabled engineering practices.

You will influence design, reliability, and operational excellence while advancing enterprise-standard tooling and frameworks. The role requires deep Java/J2EE, Spring, AWS, and microservices experience with a strong focus on secure coding and SDLC

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Experience leading teams of technologists and guiding teams on approach to achieve goals against strategic initiatives.
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with cloud/AI/ML expertise.
• Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with minimal oversight.
• Proficiency in Java/J2EE and REST APIs, Web Services, and building event-driven microservices and Kafka streaming.
• Experience in Spring Framework, Spring Boot and AWS Services in public cloud.
• Proficiency with SDLC tools like GIT/Bitbucket, JIRA, Maven.
• Experience with responsible AI use in engineering workflows, data sensitivity and security.
