Job summary

Techstack is seeking an experienced Senior AWS DevOps Engineer to review, restructure and secure the existing AWS infrastructure supporting an Online Academy platform. The platform runs microservices with Production, Demo and Testing/Staging environments, and the goal is to align with AWS best practices and ISO 27001 readiness.

You’ll work closely with a developer re-architecting the microservices platform and will be the key DevOps contact for infrastructure setup, security, and deployment

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial DevOps / Cloud experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS and cloud infrastructure.
• Terraform / Infrastructure as Code expertise.
• Strong understanding of AWS IAM, security and access control.
• Experience with CI/CD and deployment automation.
• Experience working with microservices and containerized environments.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting and backups.
• Ability to assess existing infrastructure and define practical improvements.
• Experience working independently with ownership of infra tasks.
• Nice to have: ISO 27001 or similar security/compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assess and restructure the existing AWS infrastructure and architecture.
• Review accounts, networking, IAM, compute, storage, databases and microservice communication.
• Improve isolation between Production, Demo and Testing/Staging environments.
• Implement secure IAM based on least privilege and RBAC.
• Introduce Terraform and move infrastructure config into version control.
• Review and improve CI/CD and deployment processes.
• Implement security controls, monitoring, logging, alerting and backups.
• Collaborate with developers on the new microservices architecture.
• Document current and target architecture, access model and procedures.

Your responsibilities

Assess and restructure the existing AWS infrastructure and architectureReview AWS accounts, networking, IAM, compute, storage, databases and microservice communicationImprove isolation between Production, Demo and Testing/Staging environmentsImplement secure IAM based on least privilege and role-based accessIntroduce Terraform and move infrastructure configuration into version controlReview and improve CI/CD and deployment processesImplement security controls, monitoring, logging, alerting and backupsIdentify and address infrastructure gaps related to ISO 27001 readinessCollaborate with the developer on the new microservices architectureDocument the current and target architecture, access model and operational procedures

It's about you

5+ years of commercial DevOps / Cloud experience

Strong hands‑on experience with AWS Solid experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code

Strong understanding of AWS IAM, security and access control

Experience with AWS networking and production infrastructure

Practical experience with CI/CD and deployment automation

Experience working with microservices and containerized environments

Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting and backups

Ability to assess an existing infrastructure and define a practical improvement plan

Experience working independently and taking ownership of infrastructure‑related tasks

Nice to have: experience with ISO 27001 or other security/compliance requirements.
