Job summary

Aether Biomedical is seeking an experienced DevOps engineer to join our fully remote team. You will own AWS infrastructure, ensure security, reliability, and cost efficiency, and build robust CI/CD pipelines with built-in security.

You will work directly with clients and our DevOps house, with no middlemen, delivering production-grade infrastructure for a variety of projects. This role requires strong English and Polish proficiency and a hands-on, team-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Min. 5 years of commercial experience with cloud infrastructure.
• Solid knowledge of Infrastructure as Code – specifically Terraform.
• Solid experience with AWS – practical knowledge over certificates.
• Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) – hands-on, real-world usage.
• CI/CD – Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions; solid pipelines experience.
• Monitoring and logging (Datadog, Prometheus, CloudWatch).
• Scripting and automation – Golang preferred, Python accepted.
• Polish language (C1) and English (B2) proficient for international clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage AWS-based cloud infrastructure with emphasis on security, availability, and cost.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with built-in security by design.
• Collaborate directly with clients and DevOps team; hands-on, no middlemen.
• Operate a fully remote DevOps practice with cross-functional teams.

Hi,We're a 35-person DevOps team (we call ourselves a 'DevOps house', not an agency). Below you'll be able to find what we're looking for, and who we are (so you can decide if we're what you're looking for too).

About the role:

We work with clients from startups to companies like World, AirHelp, TACEO, and SmartRecruiters.

Our projects are infrastructure that actually has to work – there's no room for 'almost works'.

We don't do bodyleasing – we work as a team.

We don't 'send' people to clients, we build solutions together as a team.

You'll manage cloud infrastructure (AWS) with security, availability, and costs in mind.

Building CI/CD pipelines with built-in security is our standard, not a nice-to-have.

You'll work directly with clients and our DevOps team. No middlemen, no 'pass it through the manager' – we work like adults.

We're 100% remote.

Who we're looking for:

Required skills:

• Min. 5 years of commercial experience with cloud infrastructure.
• Solid knowledge of Infrastructure as Code – specifically Terraform.
• Solid experience with AWS – not about certificates, it's about knowing how it works in practice.
• Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) – you know it, use it, understand it.
• CI/CD – Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, whatever – what matters is you know how to build solid pipelines.
• Monitoring and logging (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus, CloudWatch, etc.).
• Scripting and automation skills – we prefer Golang, but if you write Python, that's great too!
• Polish C1 and English min. B2 (we work with international clients).

Nice to have:

• Production experience running and operating PostgreSQL,
• Working knowledge of SQL,
• Cloud security experience (DevSecOps),
• Knowledge of Ansible, Packer, or other automation tools.
