Job summary

vTech Solution is seeking an experienced AWS Senior Developer for a DC-area project with the NC DHHS program. You will design, develop, and manage advanced AWS cloud solutions, modernize legacy applications, and build enterprise data lakes.

The role requires extensive AWS expertise, strong software development skills, and experience with data processing, security, and DevOps practices. On-site work is required and collaboration with data modernization teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience with AWS services including VPC, EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS, EKS, RDS, API Gateway, Glue Crawlers, and Athena.
• 10+ years of experience in data processing and transformation using AWS Glue, Lambda, EMR, Athena, Apache Flink, Step Functions, and SageMaker.
• 7+ years of experience in data ingestion and storage with S3, Kinesis Data Streams, Kinesis Data Firehose, and DMS.
• 7+ years of experience modernizing applications including refactoring, migration, and cloud-native development.
• 7+ years of experience with modern database technologies and migration strategies.
• 7+ years of experience creating AWS ETL jobs and managing high-volume data pipelines.
• 7+ years of experience with DevOps practices, automation tools, CI/CD pipeline development, monitoring, and logging.
• 7+ years of software development experience with strong Java skills including J2EE, Spring framework, and Hibernate.
• 7+ years of experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.
• Hands-on Python scripting skills for customizing AWS ETL logic.
• Knowledge of security and data governance including permissions management, encryption, auditing, and compliance.
