Job summary

Tech Mirrors is seeking an AWS/Java developer with extensive experience to design, implement, and manage AWS-based solutions for state IT modernization projects.

Collaborate with data modernization teams to modernize legacy applications, develop cloud-native backends in Java, and ensure security, cost efficiency, and reliability using AWS services and DevOps practices. AWS certification and state client experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience modernizing legacy applications including refactoring and migration to the cloud.
• Proficient with AWS to build enterprise data lakes.
• Hands-on Java development with Java/J2EE, Spring Framework and Hibernate.
• Experience with transactional or RDMS databases.
• Experience with DevOps practices and automation tools.
• Experience with data analytics using Power BI or AWS QuickSight is a plus.
• Must have state client experience and AWS Certification.

DHHS-ITD is looking to hire an AWS/Java developer with 8-10 years of software development experience. This role involves close collaboration with the data modernization teams at ITD and DPH to design, implement, and manage AWS solutions that align with their technical requirements and business objectives.

Skill Sets and experience include:

• Experience in modernizing legacy applications, which should include refactoring/migrating in-house legacy applications to the cloud environment.
• Proficient in utilizing AWS services and related components towards building enterprise level Data Lakes.
• Experience in software development with hands‑on skills in Java – strong Java, J2EE, JavaSpring framework & hibernate technology.
• Experience working with any transactional or RDMS databases
• Experience with DevOps practices and automation tools
• Knowledge / experience using any ETL tools, experience with data analytics using PowerBI or AWS QuickSight etc. is plus. ???
• Must have experience/familiar with Agile/Scrum Framework environments
