Qualifications

• 8+ years’ experience in software or data engineering with a strong AWS focus.
• Proven experience architecting cloud data platform migrations in production environments.
• Experience delivering reporting solutions for non-technical users.
• Deep hands-on AWS data services experience (S3, Athena, Glue, Redshift, OpenSearch).
• Strong SQL skills for relational query layers over XML/JSON.
• Experience with XML-heavy data stores and data modeling.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and IaC tooling in AWS.

Responsibilities

• Lead healthcare data platform modernization efforts.
• Evolve MSSQL XML object store to cloud-native AWS architecture for SQL reports.
• Evaluate AWS data strategies and storage options (S3+Athena, Aurora, DynamoDB, Redshift).
• Design and build reporting layers for non-technical users to run SQL queries.
• Architect migration path for XML object store data to the AWS platform.
• Build and maintain AWS data catalog, schemas, and metadata management.
• Optimize queries and cost across AWS services; collaborate with stakeholders.
• Work with .NET engineers to ensure data flows from EDI pipelines into the new data layer.
