Qualifications

• 8+ years in software or data engineering with a strong AWS focus.
• Proven experience architecting cloud data platform migrations in production.
• Experience selecting AWS data services to meet reporting requirements.
• Experience delivering analytics solutions for non-technical users.
• Hands-on AWS data services experience (S3, Athena, Glue, Aurora, DynamoDB, Redshift, OpenSearch, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch).
• Strong SQL for relational layers over XML/JSON.
• Experience with XML-heavy data stores and migrations.
• Familiarity with BI tooling like QuickSight; strong Git workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead the next phase of the healthcare data platform modernization.
• Architect and implement AWS-native data architectures for SQL-based reports.
• Decide the right AWS data strategy for the platform.
• Design storage and query architectures (S3+Athena, Aurora, DynamoDB, Redshift, OpenSearch).
• Build the reporting layer enabling business users to run SQL queries.
• Plan XML object store migration from MSSQL to AWS platform.
• Maintain AWS data catalog, schemas, and metadata management.
• Optimize query performance and cost across AWS services.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into data models.
• Coordinate with .NET engineers to ensure data flow from EDI pipelines.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using AWS tooling; apply IaC with CDK/CloudFormation/Terraform.
• Document architecture decisions and data dictionaries clearly.
