Syms Strategic Group (SSG) seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to lead AWS data engineering for a healthcare data platform modernization. This 100% US-based remote role partners with the Veterans Affairs department to design scalable cloud-native data architectures and performant SQL reporting.

You will evaluate AWS data services, implement migrations from MSSQL XML stores, and develop CI/CD pipelines with AWS tooling. U.S. citizenship is required for this opportunity.

Qualifications

• 8+ years’ experience in software or data engineering with a strong AWS focus.
• Proven experience architecting and executing cloud data platform migrations.
• Track record of evaluating AWS data services to meet reporting needs.
• Deep hands-on AWS data services experience and SQL proficiency.
