Job summary

Atrium Staffing LLC is seeking a Senior Data Engineer - AWS in New York City to own enterprise data pipelines and build scalable cloud-based data architecture on AWS. You will work closely with Data Science, Analytics, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable data solutions and contribute to a collaborative engineering team.

The role requires expert SQL, hands-on AWS experience (Glue, Lambda, S3, Athena, EMR, Redshift), and strong data modeling and DW design skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional data engineering experience.
• Expert SQL skills with complex queries and performance tuning.
• Hands-on AWS data engineering with Glue, Lambda, S3, Athena, EMR, and Redshift.
• Experience designing scalable data architectures and enterprise data warehouses.
• Strong ETL/ELT, data modeling, and data integration knowledge.
• Experience troubleshooting production data pipelines and ensuring data quality.
• Ability to own technical projects from design to deployment.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship; on-site in NYC four days/week.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and enterprise data warehouse in AWS.
• Build and optimize complex SQL queries, ETL/ELT processes, and data models.
• Leverage AWS services including Glue, Lambda, S3, Athena, EMR, and Redshift.
• Develop and maintain data schemas, dimensional models, and warehouse structures.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines for performance and reliability.
• Implement data quality checks and automated monitoring processes.
• Collaborate with Data Science, Analytics, and Business teams on data initiatives.
• Maintain technical documentation and data lineage.
