Job summary

A data solutions company is seeking an AWS Data Engineer to design and optimize enterprise data architecture. The role requires 3-5 years of experience in production-level data pipeline development, DBT, and Apache Airflow, alongside strong SQL and data modeling skills. This position is based in NYC with a 6-month contract-to-hire arrangement. Remote work is not available; candidates must be local to New York.

Qualifications

Title: AWS Data Engineer

Duration: 6 months contract to hire

Location: NYC, onsite 5 days a week

Responsibilities

• Design, build, maintain, and optimize components of MSG enterprise data architecture required to meet the analytics and production data needs of the business
• Partner with business stakeholders and Business Intelligence (BI) developers to define data requirements and ensure accuracy of all metrics and master data
• Develop and implement data models to optimally deliver on the needs of business stakeholders
• Design, develop, and maintain ELT required to populate data models
• Establish clean, robust master data for use across business functions
• Evaluate and inform selection of technologies to build and optimize MSG's data solutions
• Triage and resolve issues across all areas of MSG's data solutions

Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience with production level data pipeline development. Preferably within AWS
• 3-5 years experience DBT development
• 3-5 years experience with Apache Airflow
