Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a senior Data Engineer to design and implement modern data platforms on AWS and Snowflake. You will craft scalable ingestion, transformation, and analytical pipelines, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to deliver reliable data products.

The role requires 6+ years in enterprise data engineering, deep SQL/Python expertise, and hands-on experience with Snowflake architecture and AWS data services.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years delivering enterprise data platforms and analytics.
• Two end-to-end AWS projects with design, development, and production deployment.
• Two end-to-end Snowflake projects with ingestion, modeling, and optimization.
• Strong SQL, Python, and ETL/ELT development skills.

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements and translate them into technical data solutions.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and design scalable data platforms.
• Build data pipelines using AWS services and Snowflake.
• Design Lakehouse/warehouse models and optimize performance and cost.
• Develop ELT frameworks and governance practices.
• Create semantic models and reports with Quicksight or similar tools.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for data workloads and mentor junior engineers.
