Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior AWS Connect Developer to lead a platform migration from LiveChat to Amazon Connect Chat for a global life-sciences client. This role covers configuring ~30 queues and 110 users, building a custom agent workspace, and integrating Salesforce and MS Graph API presence synchronization.

The ideal candidate has hands-on Amazon Connect experience with contact flows, queues, and Connect APIs, plus Lambda, CDK/CDK, and IaC tooling. English: B2 level required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on Amazon Connect experience including contact flows and queues.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/Node.js or Python for Lambda development.
• Experience integrating REST APIs (Salesforce, MS Graph) with enterprise apps.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and test Amazon Connect contact flows, queues and routing profiles.
• Implement and unit-test Lambda functions for Salesforce, DynamoDB, and availability checks.
• Build the custom Connect Streams API agent workspace with Salesforce/iFrame integration.
• Implement Teams presence-sync component via MS Graph API.
• Contribute to IaC pipelines using CloudFormation or CDK; document manual steps.
• Collaborate with Salesforce developers on REST contracts and validation.
• Support QA with testable components and participate in SIT/defect resolution.
• Produce knowledge-transfer docs for client operations post go-live.

Job description

We are seeking a Senior AWS Connect Developer to lead a full platform migration from LiveChat to Amazon Connect Chat for a global life-sciences client.

This engagement covers Amazon Connect configuration across approximately 30 queues and 110 users, a custom agent workspace built on the Amazon Connect Streams API, Salesforce integration, bidirectional Microsoft Teams presence sync via the MS Graph API, SSO via Entra ID, and DynamoDB-backed runtime lookups.

The ideal candidate has hands‑on Amazon Connect experience specifically, including building and extending contact flows, and is not limited to generic AWS Lambda or serverless patterns.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and test Amazon Connect contact flows, queue configurations, and routing profiles according to the architecture defined by the Solution Architect
• Implement and unit‑test Lambda functions for Salesforce transcript push, DynamoDB lookups, and agent‑availability checks
• Build the custom Amazon Connect Streams API agent workspace to spec, covering chat handling, case history display, and iFrame integration of the Salesforce URL
• Implement the Microsoft Teams presence‑sync intermediary component against the MS Graph API
• Contribute to IaC pipelines for Amazon Connect resources, using CloudFormation/CDK where possible and documenting manual steps where not
• Collaborate with the Salesforce Developer on Salesforce‑side objects, REST API contracts, and validation
• Support QA with testable, documented components, and participate in SIT and defect resolution
• Contribute to knowledge‑transfer documentation so the client's team can operate and extend the platform post‑go‑live

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands‑on Amazon Connect experience, including contact flows, queues, routing profiles, and Connect APIs/SDKs, with the ability to build and debug contact flows independently
• Solid AWS Lambda experience with S3 trigger patterns, DynamoDB reads/writes, and REST API calls from Lambda
• Proficiency in JavaScript/Node.js or Python for Lambda development
• Familiarity with the Amazon Connect Streams API or the ability to ramp up quickly on it
• Experience integrating REST APIs, consuming and producing REST endpoints such as Salesforce, MS Graph, or similar CRM/enterprise APIs
• Experience working in a structured delivery team with a shared backlog, code reviews, and a fixed deadline
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently once requirements are clear
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher
• Nice to have Expertise in Microsoft Graph API, including presence, calendar, and user APIs
• Familiarity with Salesforce REST API or APEX for integration debugging
• Familiarity with Entra ID (Azure AD) SSO configuration
• Knowledge of IaC tools such as CloudFormation or CDK for AWS resource provisioning
• Background in the contact‑centre domain or prior platform migration experience
