Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Lead Cloud Native Developer to drive a full platform migration from LiveChat to Amazon Connect Chat for a global life-sciences client. You will oversee Amazon Connect configuration, a custom agent workspace, Salesforce integration, Teams presence sync, SSO via Entra ID, and DynamoDB-backed runtime lookups.

• 5+ years of hands-on Amazon Connect experience with contact flows and streams.
• Proficiency in AWS Lambda and serverless integration including DynamoDB, S3, EventBridge.
• Experience leading delivery teams on time-critical AWS engagements.
• Skills in Salesforce integration and CRM event-driven connectivity.
• Familiarity with IaC pipelines (CloudFormation/CDK).
• Proven ability to manage risk and drive architecture-to-delivery alignment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration; B2 level English.

Job description

We are seeking a Lead Cloud Native Developer to drive a full platform migration from LiveChat to Amazon Connect Chat for a global life-sciences client, overseeing Amazon Connect configuration, a custom agent workspace, Salesforce integration, Microsoft Teams presence sync, SSO via Entra ID, and DynamoDB-backed runtime lookups.

Responsibilities

• Own technical delivery quality from Discovery through Build;
• present to the SA on architecture alignment and to the Delivery Manager on timeline and risk
• Break architecture decisions into implementable work items;
• maintain a backlog that reflects the March 1 deadline constraint and sequences dependencies correctly
• Contribute hands‑on to the highest-risk components (e.g. bidirectional Teams sync, Salesforce iFrame auth) rather than delegating all coding to the development team
• Run code reviews and enforce implementation standards across the team
• Identify and elevate blockers — particularly external dependencies (Azure AD app registration, Salesforce team access, Bedrock API contract) — before they affect the critical path
• Ensure QA has testable, documented components; collaborate on end-to-end SIT test cases
• Lead knowledge-transfer activities (train‑the‑trainer model) so the client's team can operate the platform post‑go‑live
• Coordinate with the Entra ID/Azure AD provisioning workstream and the Bedrock/Lex self‑service team on the agent‑availability API interface
• Lead day‑to‑day technical delivery across a multi‑discipline team of Amazon Connect developers, a Salesforce developer, DevOps, and QA

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands‑on Amazon Connect experience, including contact flows, queues, routing profiles, and the Amazon Connect Streams API; must be able to build and debug contact flows directly, not just oversee others doing it
• Proficiency in AWS Lambda and serverless integration, including DynamoDB, S3, and EventBridge
• Experience leading delivery teams on time‑critical AWS engagements; able to hold a team to a fixed deadline through sequencing and proactive risk management
• Skills in Salesforce integration, including REST API patterns, Lambda/S3 triggers, or equivalent event‑driven integration with CRM platforms
• Capability to work with blended IaC pipelines (CloudFormation/CDK for what can be automated, manual procedures where it cannot)
• Familiarity with Microsoft Graph API (Teams presence/status) or the ability to ramp quickly on it
• Clear, direct communication skills; able to surface risks to stakeholders early and collaborate across teams (the client's IT, Bedrock product team, Salesforce team) without direct authority
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher

Nice to have

• Prior experience on LiveChat‑to‑Connect or comparable contact‑centre platform migrations
• Familiarity with Entra ID (Azure AD) SSO configuration for Amazon Connect
• Experience with Amazon Connect Cases or Connect Wisdom
• Background in life‑sciences, medtech, or comparable regulated‑industry delivery
