Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain cloud-based solutions on AWS. You will work closely with architects and delivery teams to develop robust, secure, and scalable cloud solutions, emphasizing hands-on implementation and solution engineering for modern cloud-native apps.

The role focuses on implementing serverless architectures, integrating security and observability, and contributing to accelerator code that accelerates delivery across engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical experience in CS/engineering.
• 3+ years of hands-on cloud development experience.
• 3+ years with AWS including compute, storage, networking, and security.
• Experience developing serverless apps using Node.js Lambdas and AWS SDK.
• Experience with AWS API Gateway, Cognito, Lambda, and S3.
• Python scripting and boto3 experience.
• IaC with AWS CDK (TypeScript).
• Experience with GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket and multi-environment AWS compute.
• Observability and security knowledge in AWS environments.
• Strong collaboration and communication with architects and teams.
• Associate-level AWS certification (Developer) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Translate requirements into high-quality maintainable code.
• Follow best practices and modern cloud architectures.
• Develop, test, and deploy modular accelerator code.
• Integrate security, networking, and observability features.
• Participate in code reviews and feedback incorporation.
• Apply flexible logic to base patterns from open-source or internal repos.
• Learn and apply new patterns/technologies as needed.
