Job summary

NBME is seeking a Senior Software Developer to lead architecture and development of a new scoring system in a primarily remote role. You will drive serverless, event-driven solutions on AWS and mentor internal and offshore teams, collaborating with stakeholders across Product Engineering and Security.

You will work with Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, and other AWS services, and design scalable data solutions while guiding DevOps practices and testing frameworks.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in information technology, with experience designing and building large-scale applications or infrastructure.
• Experience leading architecture and delivering scalable cloud-native solutions.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Translate business needs into technical designs and estimates.
• Lead the design and implementation of scalable serverless solutions in AWS.
• Develop and deploy serverless APIs and AWS integrations using Python and boto3.
• Design data solutions with DynamoDB, DocumentDB, Aurora, RDS, and S3.
• Build and deploy serverless apps using CloudFormation, CDK, or SAM.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and serverless testing frameworks.
• Monitor and troubleshoot serverless apps with AWS tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security and enterprise alignment.
• Lead and mentor an offshore team of professionals.
