Job summary

TELUS Digital in North America seeks a Senior AWS Engineer to design, build, and ship serverless applications on AWS for enterprise clients. You will own the technical delivery from design to production, write high-quality code in Python or Node.js/TypeScript, and apply AWS best practices for security, scalability, and cost efficiency.

Leadership is expected: mentor engineers, shape engineering standards, and collaborate with architects, product teams, and client stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 4+ years building and operating production apps on AWS.
• Deep hands-on AWS serverless expertise.
• Strong programming in Python or Node.js/TypeScript.
• Experience with infrastructure as code and CI/CD tooling.
• Excellent communication with clients in a consulting setting.
• AWS certifications are a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Design and build serverless applications powering client experiences.
• Develop and document secure RESTful and GraphQL APIs with strong auth.
• Write high-quality code in Python or Node.js/TypeScript with tests.
