Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Senior AWS Systems Engineer to support a large-scale federal cloud modernization initiative. You will design, implement, and support secure AWS environments in mission-critical settings, combining architecture depth with hands-on implementation across infrastructure, security, data, and migration activities.

The role requires US citizenship, ability to obtain a Public Trust, and 8+ years in enterprise IT with 5+ years AWS engineering.

Qualifications

• 8+ years designing, implementing, and supporting complex enterprise IT systems.
• 5+ years hands-on AWS engineering and architecture experience.
• Experience in senior cloud/solutions architecture roles.
• Strong knowledge of core AWS services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, configure, and implement enterprise AWS environments.
• Develop infrastructure across networking, security, compute, storage, monitoring, and backups.
• Lead migrations including data/app migration and cutover planning.
• Provide hands-on AWS troubleshooting and production support.
• Create designs, runbooks, diagrams, and operational procedures.
