Job summary

novulsolutions seeks an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to support CI/CD, cloud infrastructure engineering, and secure cloud operations in a DoD environment. The role covers on-premises and cloud with a focus on Amazon C2S-enabled architecture, infrastructure as code, and automation.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of AWS and IaC experience, strong scripting skills, and hands-on work with EC2, VPC, IAM, and related services. This role requires U.S.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Bachelor’s degree with 8–12 years of IT experience.
• 4+ years hands-on AWS Cloud and IaC experience.
• 4+ years with Amazon C2S-enabled architectures and tools.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, Java, Bash or PowerShell.
• Experience with deployment orchestration, automation, and security configuration management.

Responsibilities

• Provide CI/CD support including operational engineering, integration, release management, and knowledge transfer.
• Design and maintain Amazon C2S-enabled cloud capabilities using IaC tools.
• Configure and manage core AWS services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, KMS, AWS Config, RDS, Lambda, ELB).
• Improve reliability via monitoring, alerting, incident response and continual service improvement.
• Automate deployments and operational tasks with Python, Bash, PowerShell and other methods.
• Develop automation for provisioning, patching, backups, scaling and routine maintenance.
• Support deployment orchestration and security configuration management using CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible, GitLab, Bitbucket.
• Manage and improve integration/testing environments across unclassified and classified infra.
