Job summary

Amazon in Seattle is seeking a senior AWS Solutions Architect to shape strategy and drive broad adoption of AWS in enterprise accounts. You will own the technical relationship, lead deep architectural discussions, and guide migrations for complex, cloud-based solutions across multiple verticals.

You will engage with senior customers, translate business needs into technical designs, and contribute to customer-facing publications while building strong cloud advocates within client teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of technical specialist, design and architecture experience.
• 5+ years of database (SQL/NoSQL/Hadoop/Spark/Kafka/Kinesis) experience.
• 7+ years of consulting, design and implementation of serverless distributed solutions.
• 5+ years of software development with object oriented language experience.
• 3+ years of cloud based solution (AWS or equivalent) experience.
• 7+ years of external or internal customer facing, complex projects.
• 5+ years of cloud architecture and solution implementation experience.
• Bachelor's degree, or 7+ years of professional or military experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the AWS Business development team to help formulate a strategy to drive adoption in focus industry verticals.
• Guide customers to ensure success in building and migrating applications following Well-Architected Framework.
• Educate enterprise customers on AWS value, and participate in deep architectural discussions.
• Provide training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering or using AWS.
• Capture and share best-practice knowledge among the AWS solutions architecture community.
• Contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as blogs and whitepapers.
• Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals to enable cloud advocacy.
• Act as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering, and support.
