Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to enable space-focused customers to achieve missions using cloud technologies. You will guide architecture, lead workshops, and shape best practices across launch services, space systems, ground segments and more.

The role emphasizes customer relationship leadership, prescriptive guidance, and collaboration with account management, professional services, and product teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of technology domain experience (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries.
• Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above.
• 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience.
• Experience in a technical role within a sales organization.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to accelerate their missions and recommend best-practice architectures in line with their long-term business outcomes.
• Build technical relationships with customers and operate as their trusted advisor.
• Share the voice of the customer to inform the roadmap of AWS features.
• Participate in the creation and sharing of best practices, technical content and new reference architectures.
• Evangelise and educate about AWS technology through workshops, user groups, meetups, public speaking, online videos or conferences.
• Contribute to the growth of the Solutions Architecture organisation by interviewing candidates and having a voice in hiring decisions.
• Develop areas of depth in technical domains relevant to customer outcomes.
