Job summary

Northern Kentucky University is seeking an Associate Vice President for Financial Services to lead accounting and financial operations as a senior financial executive reporting to the VP/CFO. This role directs a broad portfolio and partners with executives, auditors, financial institutions, and committees to uphold strong stewardship and service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• Active CPA license and extensive accounting/finance leadership.
• Experience leading managers, directors, or teams.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and external audit experience.
• Proven track record in process improvement and modernization.
• Experience with enterprise financial systems and Workday.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Financial Services Organization and align resources with needs.
• Develop people, diversity of capabilities, and succession planning.
• Advance Workday Financials post-implementation and optimization.
• Drive process improvement and modernization across finance functions.
• Oversee accounting, reporting, and internal controls with audits.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
• Oversee treasury, investments, and debt management.
• Oversee student accounts, procurement, and accounts payable.
• Act as Deputy to VP/CFO and engage with executive leadership.
