Job summary

Eastern Kentucky University seeks an Associate Vice President, Finance to oversee the general ledger, reporting, cash management, EKU Foundation operations, audits and overall financial management for the university. Leadership of budget for auxiliary services and contracts is included.

Requires a BS in Accounting/Finance; MBA/CPA preferred, and 5+ years in higher education or governmental finance. Exempt, full-time position based at the Richmond Campus with standard university benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field is required.
• MBA and/or CPA is preferred.
• Five years or more of relevant experience in college/university or governmental finance/operations.

Responsibilities

• 50% - maintain the University’s general ledger, trial balance, revenue/expenditure reporting, and cash management; oversee EKU Foundation operations and audits.
• 30% - provide financial/budget oversight and guidance to auxiliary services.
• 20% - oversee university contracts and administrative units; duties defined as needed.
