Job summary

Collins Aerospace Avionics Test Engineering is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead hardware and software test solutions for manufacturing and service environments. You will work with multidisciplinary teams across the Collins organization to develop test stations and robust verification methods for aerospace products.

The ideal candidate has deep experience in RF devices, reads schematics, and can manage both hardware and software development across a global team.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM plus 8+ years experience or advanced degree with 5+ years
• Ability to read electronic schematics
• Experience with RF devices
• Strong collaboration and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Review designs and create test solutions to maximize coverage
• Design, analyze, test, and document hardware of moderate to high complexity
• Integrate and troubleshoot HW & SW solutions
• Work with mechanical and systems engineering to ensure electrical design alignment
• Reverse engineer existing equipment and document it
• Support automated test software development
• Prepare and present project information to peers and management
• Develop schedules and budgets for engineering activities
• Demonstrate knowledge of hardware processes and workflows
