Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) is seeking an Avionics Technician IV to supervise avionics maintenance teams and oversee complex diagnostics and repairs for both fixed-wing and unmanned systems.

The role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and documentation of maintenance activities, with frequent collaboration across engineering and operations in Dayton, OH and customer locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Higher level degree may substitute for experience.
• Expertise in avionics systems and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to read complex schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and route wires per drawings.
• Advanced skills with avionics installation tooling, wiring repair, soldering and crimping techniques.

Responsibilities

• Supervise installation, testing, and repair of avionics systems.
• Oversee complex diagnostics and troubleshooting tasks.
• Ensure maintenance activities are documented and compliant with regulations.
• Conduct advanced training sessions for avionics staff.
• Develop and implement maintenance procedures.
