Sierra Nevada Corporation in Dayton, OH is seeking an Avionics Technician IV to supervise avionics maintenance teams and oversee the most complex diagnostics and repairs, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role demands leadership in installation, testing, and troubleshooting, development of maintenance procedures, and coordination with other departments to optimize operations, with frequent travel to customer sites including international deployments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of relevant avionics experience.
• Higher level degree may substitute for experience.
• Expertise in avionics systems and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to interpret complex schematics/diagrams; route wires per drawings.
• Advanced skills with avionics installation tooling, wiring, soldering and crimping.
• Must have own tools.
• Ability to deploy for extended time to various OCONUS locations.
• Must meet DoD and Combatant Command requirements.
• Pre-deployment medical clearance.
• Willing to travel; extended hours/shifts.
• Passport and visa eligibility.
• Rotations 60/60, 90/90, 60/30, 90/30, 90/45.

Responsibilities

• Supervise installation, testing, and repair of avionics systems.
• Oversee complex diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Ensure maintenance activities are documented and compliant with regulations.
• Conduct advanced training sessions for avionics staff.
• Develop and implement maintenance procedures.
