Job summary

Qualifications

  • B.Sc. in aerospace, electrical, systems engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years engineering experience in development assurance involving complex electronic hardware; at least 2 years involvement in generating compliance claims to safety standards.
  • Strong foundation in system safety analysis and regulatory compliance (PHA, FHA, FMECAs, FTAs, DO-254, MIL-STD-882).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work independently and in cross-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

  • Support development and safety assurance of electronic hardware across spacecraft and facilities.
  • Collaborate with system and responsible engineers to derive and verify safety requirements.
  • Review and approve safety analyses and safety requirements; assess risk characterizations.
  • Perform independent assessments and reviews against applicable safety standards (DO-254, MIL-STD-882, NASA, Range Safety, FAA).
  • Generate program safety metrics and report system safety status to stakeholders.
