Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in Washington is seeking an Avionics PCB Design Automation Engineer to optimize high‑speed, RF, and power PCB layouts for avionics products, applying Altium automation and AI where possible.

You will design boards, maintain libraries, collaborate with mechanics, electrical and software teams, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to PCB development processes and reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related discipline.
• 7+ years in PCB development with 5+ years in Altium tool configuration and process automation.
• Knowledge of PCB design, manufacturing, assembly and testing best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and layout high-performance PCBs for aerospace applications.
• Develop and maintain board eCAD design libraries and footprints.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate tool flows and processes.
• Configure and automate Altium Enterprise Agile for PCB and library development, leveraging AI where possible.
• Troubleshoot and resolve PCB design and tool/process issues.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations in design and manufacturing.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for PCB layout and design.
• Mentor junior engineers on PCB design/layout and Altium best practices.
• Contribute to PCB/PCBA design reviews with DFM/DFT/DFM insights and process improvements.
