Job summary

Blue Origin in Huntsville, AL is seeking an Avionics Integration and Test Engineer for the Engines Avionics team. You will own integration and verification of rocket engine avionics, working across hardware, FPGA, embedded software, and control systems.

You will set verification strategies, author requirements, interface control documents, and design documentation, and mentor others while advancing safety-critical propulsion technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 5+ years of relevant avionics experience.
• Experience across digital/analog hardware, FPGA, embedded software, and control systems.
• Hands-on hardware bring-up, schematics, and fault isolation across hardware/software.
• Experience with formal verification activities and driving requirements to closure.
• Ability to lead end-to-end technical scope and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Bring up and test engine avionics units from first power-on across hardware, FPGA, and software.
• Define verification strategy and lead verification campaigns through closure.
• Define verification methods, author test procedures, and generate test reports.
• Create and maintain requirements, interface control documents, and design docs.
• Mentor engineers in verification, testing, and troubleshooting.
