Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced engineer to lead the development, qualification, and production testing of avionics harness components for the New Glenn program. You will write test procedures, plan campaigns, and collaborate with design, manufacturing, and test teams to ensure safe, reliable harness delivery.

The role emphasizes leadership, attention to detail, and adherence to industry standards, with travel up to 25% for testing labs and ongoing project coordination across programs.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.
• 5+ years in component testing and data analysis.
• Experience testing avionics connectors, wire/cable, backshells, EMI/grounding hardware.
• Experience writing test plans, procedures, and reports per MIL-STD and NASA standards.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Clear communication to leadership and shop floor.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and execute qualification and production test campaigns for avionics harness components and subassemblies.
• Author and maintain detailed test procedures, plans, and reports.
• Perform readiness reviews, pre-test briefings, and post-test data reviews.
• Identify, procure, and manage test fixtures and data acquisition systems.
• Drive continuous improvement and support failure analysis.
• Track test campaign schedules across multiple programs.
