Qualifications

• B.S. degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, aerospace engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in avionics hardware, including systems engineering, electrical design and analysis, or verification/qualification/validation.
• Experience in systems engineering in aerospace or defense, including requirements development (decomposition and allocation), verification and validation, and integration and test.
• Understanding of electronics hardware design processes including schematic review, component selection, derating analysis, and thermal/mechanical packaging.
• Experience with DO-254 hardware development assurance or equivalent hardware certification processes.
• Experience with DO-160 or MIL-STD-810 environmental qualification testing.
• Familiarity with harness/cable design, connector selection, and EMI/EMC considerations.
• Familiarity with ARP4754 development assurance processes.

Responsibilities

• Design and maturation of avionics hardware subsystems for liquid propulsion rocket engines across multiple spaceflight systems.
• Contribute to requirements development and decomposition, support technical trade studies, risk management, and integration, verification, and qualification of avionics hardware.
• Mentor team members in avionics systems engineering and apply technical standards to enable robust hardware development.
