Job summary

Credence has an opening for an Avionics Hardware Engineering Support at the senior level to support AFLCMC/WAM for the F-16 division at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. The role focuses on researching, designing, and testing avionics hardware and mission computer integration for USAF programs.

Ideal candidates hold an active TS clearance, ABET‑accredited engineering credentials, and extensive DoD experience, with a strong background in hardware/software integration and airworthiness certification

Qualifications

• Active or current Top‑Secret security clearance.
• ABET-accredited engineering degree in electrical, mechanical, or aerospace engineering.
• Master's/Doctoral in a related field with 10+ years DoD experience, or Bachelor's with 12+ years DoD experience, or 15+ years with certifications.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, develop, test computer systems and components.
• Support next-generation mission computer procurement and integration.
• Coordinate with software developers; ensure airworthiness approvals.
• Design, develop, modify software systems using analyses and models.
• Ensure embedded hardware and software work together effectively.
• Provide ongoing technical support for computer systems.
• Support weapons integration and test efforts for missiles and munitions.
• Prepare reports on project specs, activities, and status.
• Assist requirements derivation, integration, verification for F-16 mission computer upgrades.
