Job summary

Credence is seeking a senior Avionics Software Engineering Support to back the AFLCMC/WAM F-16 program at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. The role emphasizes OFP software, avionics upgrades, and DoD-compliant engineering practices.

Responsibilities include software development, integration, verification, and fielding tasks across multiple bases, with an emphasis on airworthiness and programmatic coordination. A Top-Secret clearance and ABET-accredited degree are required.

Qualifications

• Active or current Top-Secret security clearance verifiable in DISS.
• ABET-accredited engineering degree from an ABET-approved program in a related field.
• Extensive DoD experience per the job requirements.
• Strong C++ coding abilities and legacy software modernization experience.
• Experience with Air Force OFP development is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support development of OFP software for a major USAF F-16 upgrade program with complex avionics upgrades.
• Support engineering design, development, integration, verification, and airworthiness qualification.
• Assist in OFP updates per OFP Development guidelines.
• Assist in monitoring and reviewing the System Integration Lab (SIL).
• Support Warfighter Council Review and Pilot Vehicle Interface requirements discussions.
• Coordinate resolution of Software Program Anomaly Reports (SPARs) and related defects.

Master’s or Doctoral Degree in a related field with DoD experience

Bachelor’s Degree with 12+ years DoD experience

15+ years of directly related DoD experience with proper certifications

ABET-accredited degree recommended in electrical engineering / computer science / computer engineering
