Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Next Generation A2G Graphics Drivers group within Display Products. The role focuses on safety-critical graphics software, team leadership, and collaboration with customers on bids and technical presentations.

You will mentor engineers, drive integration with DO-178C standards, and influence product roadmaps while ensuring program commitments and performance objectives are met.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in STEM and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field.
• Successful leadership experience in developing certified software written in assembly and C/C++.
• Proven record of meeting objectives and commitments.
• Possess a collaborative way of working.
• Strong communicator able to interface across teams and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own execution of safety critical, DO-178C compliant, graphics driver development.
• Ensure alignment with industry standards such as A661, OpenGL SC, and Vulkan SC.
• Drive market differentiation through custom AMLCDs and graphics drivers.
• Lead engineers and ensure program commitments are met.
• Participate in budgetary planning and staffing needs.
• Manage performance of engineering personnel and deliverables.
• Lead a wide range of entry-level to senior engineers.
• Support product roadmaps and industry committees.
• Maintain awareness of technology and competitive position.
