Job summary

RTX, Collins Aerospace Displays division, seeks a Senior Engineering Manager to lead a certified graphics driver team for avionics displays. The role requires strong leadership and deep experience in system software, C/C++, and assembly.

You will mentor engineers, drive DO-178C processes, and coordinate with bids, proposals and customer presentations. This onsite position in Cedar Rapids includes relocation options and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and 10+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree.
• Proven leadership experience in developing certified software written in assembly and C/C++.
• Strong communicator, able to interface with the spectrum from individual contributors to executive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own execution of safety critical, DO-178C compliant, graphics driver development
• Ensure appropriate alignment with industry standards such as A661, OpenGL SC, and Vulkan SC
• Drive market differentiation through custom AMLCDs and graphics drivers
• Lead engineers and ensure program commitments are met
• Demonstrate technical leadership and mentor a broad range of engineers
