Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in Washington is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design mission hardware for crew interfaces and habitability systems, from concept through qualification and flight.

You will guide electrical architectures, own interfaces and circuits, and work with vehicle systems, mechanical, test, and manufacturing engineers to deliver robust, integrated solutions that support safe human spaceflight.

Qualifications

• B.S. in electrical engineering (or equivalent).
• 7+ years in high‑reliability electronics (space/defense or similar).
• Release‑quality artifacts under configuration control (schematics, BoMs, drawings).
• Hands‑on lab bring‑up and debugging experience.
• Proficiency with ECAD/analysis tools (Altium/Mentor/KiCad, SPICE).
• Strong cross‑functional communication with systems, mechanical, software.

Responsibilities

• Develop avionics hardware (boards and integrated assemblies).
• Understand the full product life-cycle from concept to production.
• Design analog and digital boards interacting with avionics systems.
• Collaborate with multiple engineering disciplines on Crew Systems products.
• Support risk analyses, FMECA, DFx, and root‑cause analysis of test discrepancies.
