Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a mid-career electrical/aerospace engineer to lead avionics hardware design for core compute and networking on lunar spacecraft. You will develop requirements, execute verifications, and integrate interfaces across vehicle subsystems in a hands-on lab and flight environment.

The role demands strong communication, leadership, and experience with mixed-signal circuits, validation, and safety-critical design practices in a fast-paced aerospace setting. Relocation possible.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Electrical, Computer, Aerospace, or related engineering.
  • 5+ years of engineering operations experience.
  • Experience with analog, digital and mixed-signal circuits; signal integrity.
  • Avionics hardware design and assembly experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Technical authority for avionics hardware design for core compute and networking functions.
  • Develop and manage requirements for avionics subsystems with traceability.
  • Develop, verify, and validate hardware in lab and production environments.
  • Integrate avionics interfaces with GNC, power, propulsion, and mechanical systems.
  • Coordinate with internal/external component developers on interfaces and schedules.
  • Support long-lead hardware identification and procurement planning.
  • Risk analyses support including FMECA, DFx, and root-cause analysis.
