Job summary

Jobgether is seeking an Aviation Software Verification & Test Engineer based in the United States. The role focuses on verifying safety-critical avionics software across the development and certification lifecycle, using DO-178C, SCADE, and Java to produce robust verification evidence.

You will lead verification activities, develop tests, and collaborate with software, systems, hardware, and certification engineers to ensure compliance with aviation standards and thorough traceability.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software development, verification or related engineering field.
• 5+ years of Java development experience.
• Direct experience using SCADE.
• Direct DO-178C software development/verification experience.
• Experience developing and executing requirements-based test cases.
• Experience testing avionics software with hardware/software integration.
• Experience supporting avionics certification activities.
• US citizenship and ability to work ET hours with up to 10% travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead verification activities for safety-critical aviation software.
• Design, review, and execute software and system test cases, scripts, and procedures.
• Perform functional, system, integration, and performance testing to verify requirements.
• Test avionics hardware platforms and integrated hardware/software environments (HIL when applicable).
• Maintain bidirectional traceability and verification evidence for certification.
• Prepare test reports, verification records, and certification artifacts.
