Job summary

Quest Defense Systems & Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Lead Software Verification Engineer to support verification and validation tasks for the SEP project in Endicott, NY. The role requires 100% onsite presence for 1–2 months, with potential for a hybrid arrangement thereafter and US citizenship.

You will independently evaluate plans, requirements, implementation, test artifacts, and processes to ensure alignment with DO-178C aerospace standards, while collaborating with systems

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or related discipline.
• 6+ years of software engineering experience in avionics or safety-critical embedded development.
• Experience with RTOS and RTOS concepts.
• Experience with Asymmetric Multiprocessing.
• Experience with DO-178C standards.
• Experience with C and Python.
• Experience with system-level HW/SW integration and software testing (HLR/LLR).

Responsibilities

• Perform V&V activities for the SEP project, including requirements-based testing and software integration.
• Support system HW/SW integration testing and software-level HLR/LLR verification.
• Ensure compliance with DO-178C and other aerospace standards.
• Collaborate with Systems engineers to integrate into existing infrastructure, processes, and toolchains.
• Document results, identify issues, and communicate findings clearly to leadership.
• Contribute to training and onboarding processes for future V&V team members.
