Job summary

Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) in Austin, TX is seeking a Manager of Safety and Training to lead comprehensive safety, security, and training programs across warehouse and ramp operations.

Your primary mission is to ensure all operations meet corporate policies, air carrier requirements, customer expectations, and regulatory mandates while maintaining efficiency and strong security standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Supports 24/7 operations and may respond to safety events outside regular hours.
• 5 years of experience in aviation and warehouse operations.
• 5 years of ramp safety experience.
• 5 years in law enforcement, loss prevention, or related field.
• 3 years in disability management or worker's compensation.
• Knowledge of OSHA, ADA, injury management, and ergonomics.
• Data-driven mindset with experience using safety management systems (SMS).
• Crisis management and emergency response planning expertise.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety and training programs across warehouse and ramp operations.
• Investigate safety incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Provide guidance to station managers on best safety practices and incident prevention.
• Oversee training schedules and ensure timely new hire and recurrent training.
• Manage training resources and facilities to optimize efficiency.
• Serve as primary contact for on-duty injury follow-ups and accommodations.
• Conduct periodic physical security audits and report incidents and losses.
• Lead monthly safety meetings to reinforce safety culture and regulatory compliance.
• Drive strategic injury prevention projects across the organization.
• Influence behavior and promote a safety-first mindset at all levels.
