The role emphasizes quality control, cost management, and regulatory interface. BS/MS in engineering is required with 7 years post-BS or 6 years post-MS experience; a P.E. license and aviation experience are essential.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in engineering; MS preferred.
• 7 years post-BS or 6 years post-MS engineering experience.
• P.E. license is required.
• Aviation experience required.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.
• Ability to plan, prioritize and review project plans.

Responsibilities

• Design and sketch concepts for junior engineers and technicians.
• Plan and review production of drawings and specifications.
• Develop plans and criteria for new projects and select cost-effective solutions.
• Analyze technical problems and devise alternative approaches.
• Prepare cost, manpower estimates, schedules, and budgets.
• Coordinate with project manager and mentor junior staff.
• Ensure quality control and review designs and calculations.
• May manage projects and interface with clients/regulators.
