Job summary

GFT seeks a Senior Architectural Project Manager with an Aviation Focus to join our national practice. The role supports offices in Denver, Phoenix, Dallas, or South Florida, with a hybrid work model and nationwide consideration.

The candidate will lead complex aviation projects, mentor teams, and strengthen client relationships across airports and airlines. The successful candidate will oversee scopes, schedules, budgets, and production quality while advancing GFT’s presence in aviation

Qualifications

• Licensed /Registered Architect in the United States.
• Bachelor of Architecture Degree or Master of Architecture Degree
• 15 years’ experience with Aviation Projects
• Effective writer, communicator, detail-oriented designer
• Able to work collaboratively with staff and clients on multiple projects
• In depth knowledge of International Building Codes, NFPA, ADA, LEED, and related standards
• Organized individual with a positive team building spirit with a collaborative one team attitude.
• Recognized aviation expertise with a strong understanding of airport and/or airline operations, terminal planning and design, and the issues shaping the future of the industry.
• Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with airport and airline clients and contribute to industry dialogue through professional organizations, conferences, presentations, publications, or similar activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead aviation projects for airports and airline clients nationwide.
• Grow GFT’s aviation practice by strengthening client relationships and pursuing opportunities.
• Provide client-facing leadership and project oversight from survey through construction.
• Lead production teams and coordinate across disciplines to deliver high-quality documents.
